Our Competitive Team consists of 16 members, ranging in age from 9 to 23. The team practices two nights per week for three hours each night. If you’d like to join the KW Jump Rope Competitive Team, please contact us to learn more.

We practice two nights per week from September to June. Practices are held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
All practices are held within school gymnasiums in Kitchener.

We are a not for profit organization and our costs are based on our annual budget. For information on pricing for our current season, please contact us.

To join the Competitive Team, you need to be invited by our coaches. We will offer spots on the competitive team to athletes in our Recreational Program whose skills demonstrate they are ready to begin competing.
We'll also hold tryouts for anyone who is interested in joining. Please contact us if you'd like to tryout for the competitive team.
Our approach
We are committed to developing athletes who are passionate about jump rope and competitive at the national and international level. Our competitive program focuses on building on the fundamental skills introduced through the recreational program. We believe that mastering the form and technique of skills is essential to growth and development in the sport of jump rope. As a result, we place a strong emphasis on learning how to complete jump rope skills using proper technique.
Athletes in our competitive program will train in a variety of jump rope events including:
Single rope freestyle
Double dutch freestyle
Wheel freestyle
Single rope speed
Double dutch speed
